As I gradually progress into turning my Wordpress installation into a full-featured tumblelog, one of the big milestones along the way is to automatically assign different post types to separate categories. I threw this plugin together to automatically assign posts made via Flickr’s Blog This functionality into my Photos category. Since this is the least kludgy functionality I’ve added so far, I split it out of the rest of my frankencode and made it a standalone plugin.

Instructions: Download wp-flickrcategory.txt and change the number in line 27 to be the category id you want your Flickr posts to be assigned to. Rename to wp-flickrcategory.php and upload to your blog, then activate via the plugins panel.
